About The Position

As a Deskside Technician Intern, you will play an important role in supporting end users and keeping their technology running smoothly. This is a hands-on opportunity to troubleshoot issues, work directly with hardware and software, and build the foundational skills needed for a career in IT support and desktop services. You will also have the opportunity to connect with executive leadership, participate in team events, attend professional development sessions, and take part in a volunteer opportunity.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications
  • Familiarity with systems such as Windows or macOS
  • Understanding of hardware components and peripherals
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols
  • Foundational troubleshooting skills
  • Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Clear communication and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Attention to detail when resolving technical issues
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening after an offer is made

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in IT support or customer service is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, and printers
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems
  • Assist with user account management and access control
  • Respond to help desk tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades as needed
  • Support day-to-day IT operations and user needs
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned
