Role Overview : Prepares and revises engineering designs, drawings, diagrams, and bills of materials in collaboration with design engineers and project managers. Work Environment : Hybrid - Rancho Santa Margarita, CA (moving to Foothill Ranch, CA in 2026)

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge of machining operations and a machine shop background.
  • Must have strong knowledge in CAD (SolidWorks preferred, AutoCAD a plus).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred ability to design with spreadsheets and have knowledge of ANSI material specifications and materials process (welding, plating, overlay, heat treatment).
  • Familiar with mechanical design or industrial design.

Responsibilities

  • Create new or revised documentation (BOMs and design drawings) for manufacturing and production.
  • Utilizes ERP/ MRP system to prepare engineering change order and BOMS.
  • Assures mechanical engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings conform with customer, company specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Prepares Solidworks layouts of valve assemblies and reviews design for proper function and cost considerations.
  • Selects materials for components and assemblies.
  • Create database for new parts and bills of material.
  • Checks and defines fit, form, and function of each part.
