About The Position

As a Designer in our Louisville market, you will work one on one with our home buyers in selecting their new home finishes. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service through guiding the customer through their design center appointment and informing them on the materials that will be in their home. The most rewarding aspect of this role is playing an integral role in the vision customers have for their home. You will thrive in this role if you: Have an outgoing personality and are comfortable meeting and engaging with new people. Are typically upbeat and optimistic and can be flexible to our customers’ needs. Have patience and take a customer-centered approach to your work. Research products and changing design trends to remain up to date and knowledgeable about our product offerings. Can refocus individuals back to the task at hand to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the appointment.

Requirements

  • Must be able to use sensory skills (i.e. verbal communication) to effectively communicate and interact with other Associates and customers.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions and use fine motor skills (i.e. typing, writing) to operate office supplies (i.e. computer, calculator, copier).
  • Must be able to lift and carry approximately 20-25lbs unassisted.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time with low periods of reaching and standing.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in design or related field

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers at selection and sign off through the sale-to-start process by providing excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Review all customer agreements prior to the Selections Appointment for build ability.
  • Deliver error-free selection sheets. The selection sheets should clearly communicate the customers' wants and expectations so they can be properly executed.
  • Follow up with customers, Sales Counselors, and Divisions as needed to ensure that selections and sign- offs are accurate and completed on time.
  • Work with Division Managers and Sales Managers to design speculative inventory homes utilizing research on what will be popular for a given community and home plan.
  • Maintain a presentable Design Center showroom.
