About The Position

The Designer will reimagine Levi's iconic Lot 700 fit families and help grow Denim Dressing as a pillar of Levi's modern denim lifestyle strategy. This role reports to the Senior Designer for Lot 700 and Denim Dressing, blending heritage and fashion by translating Levi's archive, fit expertise, and authenticity into relevant, fashion-forward products across various categories including bottoms, dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, and tops. The Designer will work on core, high-volume fits and newer fashion categories, contributing to seasonal collections that balance creativity, craft, and commercial impact, with a focus on fabric, finish, construction, and execution in a fast-moving design environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing women's bottoms, denim, or related apparel categories.
  • Knowledge of denim construction, fabrications, washes, hardware, trims, and bills of material.
  • Design approach grounded in craft, fit, and detail, paired with curiosity about modern silhouettes and styling.
  • Comfort designing within commercial and operational constraints while still introducing newness.
  • Interest in how products are developed end-to-end, from concept through production.
  • Fluency in Illustrator and experience working in PLM environments.
  • Engagement with fashion, denim, and cultural trends across premium, contemporary, and mass markets.
  • Enthusiasm for denim as a material and for the process of refining product through iteration.

Responsibilities

  • Design product across Lot 700, Ribcage, Cinch, and related fit families, alongside Denim Dressing categories including dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, and denim tops.
  • Rework and refresh core silhouettes by introducing new proportions, fabrics, finishes, and elevated details while maintaining Levi's brand DNA.
  • Contribute to the expansion of Denim Dressing as a strategic growth category within Levi's denim lifestyle offering.
  • Translate trend, vintage, archive, and marketplace research into commercial designs suited for scale.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Product Development to align design decisions with consumer needs, assortment strategies, cost targets, and timelines.
  • Develop seasonal concepts, sketches, and presentation materials that communicate design intent.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to problem-solve fit, fabrication, construction, and finish challenges.
  • Use Levi's archive access and innovation lab prototyping resources to explore ideas, test finishes, and refine product quickly.
  • Work fluidly in a fast-moving environment, adapting designs in response to testing and feedback
  • Provide guidance to the Assistant Designer, contributing to a collaborative and engaged design team.
