The Role + Purpose: The CAD Designer is responsible for creating and coloring production-ready prints and patterns. Work directly with designers interpreting, adapting, and creating artwork of all kinds, including florals, converstionals, abstracts, paisleys, geos, foulards, plaids, stripes, etc. Scan, clean, re-draw, color-reduce, and create repeats from vintage or purchased samples. Create original prints and patterns from designer inspiration. Color prints into seasonal palettes, via specific direction or independently, as needed. Create detailed print packs for final factory production.

Requirements

  • Obsessive attention to detail.
  • Great color sense.
  • Organized and able to work independently.
  • Efficient, able to handle large volume of CAD requests.
  • Ability to create original artwork when needed.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • 3-5 years experience, minimum, preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Textile software (Pointcare, Euphoria, NedGraphics, etc) experience a plus, but not essential.
  • Background in painting, drawing, graphic or textile design a plus.
