About The Position

The Architectural Designer I contributes to the design and documentation of rollout architectural projects under the direction of the Project Captain, Project Leader, or Project Manager. This role provides support throughout all project phases, including schematic design, design development, and construction documentation. The Designer I participates in project team activities and contributes to the preparation of architectural plans, renderings, and presentations. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals seeking to develop practical experience in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Strong building design, conceptual thinking, and visual presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in current versions of Revit and AutoCAD, with the ability to develop accurate, organized digital models and drawings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, follow direction, and contribute to a team oriented studio environment.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with consistent follow through.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 0-3 years of professional architectural experience, including internships or academic project work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project teams in the development of presentations, schematic design materials, design development packages, and construction document sets.
  • Prepare architectural drawings, renderings, diagrams, and digital models that communicate design intent clearly and accurately.
  • Perform basic architectural assignments such as drafting, modeling, revising documents, and organizing project information in accordance with project standards.
  • Support the project teams with routine tasks including updating drawings, incorporating redline comments, and ensuring document accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members to help maintain project schedules, quality standards, and consistency across design deliverables.
  • Participate in internal reviews and contribute to the refinement of design solutions through constructive feedback and careful technical execution.
  • Apply fundamental architectural knowledge to assist in the development of building plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Utilize software tools such as Revit and AutoCAD to produce coordinated and well organized digital documents.
  • Research basic materials, products, and systems as directed, contributing to the technical foundation of project design development.
