About The Position

Overview Design parts, weldments, and assemblies to meet department objectives using CAD and other software in accordance with ISO Design Process.

Requirements

  • An Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field). Experience in sheet metal or mechanical design is preferred
  • Must be proficient with 2-D and 3-D computerized drafting programs
  • 0-2 yeas of experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Software
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to comprehend and verbally communicate in English

Responsibilities

  • Works with Engineers, Sales Engineers, Production Personnel to interpret design requirements, determine detail required, and coordinate design with other designers.
  • Resolves design issues with Sales Engineering and Production
  • Uses CAD software to create designs and drawings
  • Ensures design meets specifications
  • Ensures design complies with NFPA standards
  • Verifies designs and drawings for accuracy and completeness
  • Works independently and with others
  • Performs other assignments under direction of Supervisor or Manager
