A co-op term with Intel of Canada is a challenging but rewarding experience, allowing you to gain knowledge and experience in integrated circuit design and test, from custom design modules to developing SoCs. As a member of our team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to solve new and interesting problems, making an important contribution to our exciting custom silicon solutions. The ASIC Implementation position(s) for this listing is as follows: ASIC Verification From cloud computing to 5G connectivity and artificial intelligence, semiconductors are at the heart of everything that computes and processes data. Intel is one of a handful of companies in the world, and the only one in North America, to both design and manufacture SoCs at leading edge semiconductor processes. Modern SoCs have grown exponentially more complex, integrating ever more functionality on to a single silicon die, and integrating multiple silicon dies into a package. ASIC Design and verification methodologies must also continue to advance and keep pace with this growing complexity, to ensure a high quality and functional SoC design. As ASICs become increasingly complex to enhance functionality, performance, and power efficiency, verification processes must adapt to industry standards. Our team utilizes various verification techniques to simulate and compare them against ASICs. You'll gain experience with various industry-standard EDA tools to assess design quality. The final job assignment will be based on available projects during the work term and on the skills and interests of the student. We encourage undergraduate candidates to apply. We encourage students with relevant work experience (other co-op terms, work experience) to apply.
