About The Position

Star Interior Resources is growing and seeking driven, innovative, and passionate design professionals interested in providing turn-key custom design products and services to clients. Our headquarters are located in North Dallas, with operations in AZ and throughout the US. Star Interior Resources is a division of the Star Companies, which provides the ultimate in luxury home entertainment, amenities, custom design and includes the generations of expertise found with Starpower Home Entertainment Systems, Inc., and Ed Kellum and Son. The Design Specialist is responsible for prospecting and attracting new clients while developing long-term relationships to drive product sales within both commercial and residential markets. The Design Specialist will apply their skills to the design of full custom build out media rooms, kitchens, living spaces and more, including products from all Star Companies, particularly focusing on Cabinets, countertops, appliances and flooring.

Requirements

• Residential and Commercial Design (3-5 years Minimum)
• Design experience with Kitchen, Bath, Media Rooms, Cabinets, Flooring, Outdoor spaces and more...
• Ability to accurately measure residential or commercial client spaces to produce estimation
• Aggressive sales attitude and demonstrated ability to close
• Time management: Organize and manage multiple priorities/projects with impending deadlines.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to work with internal sales team, builders, developers, various sub-contractors, manufacturers, designers and architects both as a team and/or independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with CRM (Salesforce, FreshSales etc,) and invoicing/project management systems a plus
