You will lead these components from initial concept sketches and clay models through to full-volume production. This role serves as the central hub between the Product Design Office (Studio), Vehicle Architecture, and external suppliers to ensure all aesthetic, functional, and packaging requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Experience: 3+ years of product development experience, specifically with Engineering Plastic Class A components.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of NX and Teamcenter; proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Technical Toolkit: Proven experience constructing DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, and managing formal Change Management processes.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to reach consensus on complicated, multi-disciplinary issues.

Responsibilities

  • Concept Development: Provide engineering feasibility input for Product Design Office (PDO) concepts, sketches, and clay models; translate "Studio" vision into manufacturable geometry.

  • Technical Documentation: Author and manage functional objectives, build objectives, DFMEA, and DVP&R to ensure component integrity and performance.
  • CAD & Systems Release: Execute and manage the release of completed geometry using NX and Teamcenter CAD tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interface with Vehicle Development, Body Engineering, Architecture, and Program Science teams to align packaging and system requirements.
