Design Integration Lead

Intel CorporationHillsboro, OR
Hybrid

About The Position

This is an exceptionally exciting moment to enter the semiconductor manufacturing industry, driven by global demand for advanced computing. Intel's Global Construction Engineering (GCE) organization is responsible for the design and engineering of Intel's major manufacturing and cleanroom facilities worldwide, aiming to be the world leader in semiconductor foundry construction engineering. The Tool Install Central Engineering group within GCE focuses on the design and execution of semiconductor fabrication tool installations globally. Design Integration Leads are highly valued leaders who guide the facility planning of construction programs. They manage Intel's mechanical and electrical utility distribution capacity globally and integrate design between base build facility design and tool install design. The role ensures adequate utility capacity for factory tooling requirements and drives facility construction scope to meet tool install schedules. This position offers the opportunity to support design integration at various Intel manufacturing sites (Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Israel, Malaysia, and Ireland) and to proliferate systems and processes across the virtual factory. This is a hybrid role with location options at Intel's Ocotillo, AZ, Hillsboro, OR, or Rio Rancho, NM campuses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related field with 2+ years of design experience within the construction industry.
  • Or Master's degree in Mechanical or Chemical or Electrical Engineering or related field with 1+ year of design experience within the construction industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of semiconductor tool installation business processes and/or experience designing facility, distribution, mechanical, electrical, chemical, gas, and controls systems.
  • Experience using database analytics to generate insights and drive decisions.
  • Experience in project planning, coordination, and cross functional integration.
  • Experience reading and interpreting construction contract documents, Schematics, and BIM.
  • Proficiency in performing cost analysis of engineering options.
  • Track record partnering with construction trades.
