The Sensing Engineering team at Q-CTRL transforms quantum research into deployable technologies, designing, building, and field-validating quantum sensors that support key products like Ironestone Opal for GPS-denied navigation. The company is seeking a Lead Integration Engineer to establish and lead the Integration Engineering team within its Sensing division, based in Huntsville, Alabama. This role involves defining the integration strategy for new quantum sensor prototypes and products, contributing to the development of software-ruggedised quantum gravimeters, accelerometers, and magnetometers for GPS-denied navigation applications. As the Lead Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering strategy and implementation for Q-CTRL’s quantum navigation products, ensuring complex hardware and software subsystems operate together. This includes defining engineering standards, processes, and documentation to support scalable development and meet performance and reliability targets. This is a hands-on technical and people leadership role, encompassing planning, execution, oversight, and team mentorship. You will collaborate closely with engineers and scientists to manage the integration of subsystems across electronics, optics, mechanics, and software, and validate complete systems in both lab and field environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading in relevant mission-critical industries, such as aerospace, and a passion for developing real-world technology.
