Requirements

3+ Years of Design Engineering – preferred
Proficient experience with CAD software - AutoCad and ProE/Creo is preferred
Ability to read and understand blue prints
Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
Associate’s degree or equivalent from technical school
Self-Motivated
Highly organized
Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in plastics manufacturing – is a plus

Responsibilities

Creates and designs Company/Customer logos, stripe drawings and molding specification drawings
Reads publications, consults with sales and engineering to establish design concepts
Evaluates design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, materials and methods engineering, application, and client specifications
Presents design to design committee and discusses need for modification and change
Prepares illustrations
Prepares or coordinates preparation of working drawings from sketches and design specifications
Designs products for custom applications
Be willing to perform other duties that may be outside your normal work functions as directed by management
