The ideal candidate for this position would have 3+ years of Design Engineering experience in manufacturing; plastic thermoforming would be a bonus! Requirements

  • 3+ Years of Design Engineering – preferred
  • Proficient experience with CAD software - AutoCad and ProE/Creo is preferred
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints
  • Comfortable with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from technical school
  • Self-Motivated
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plastics manufacturing – is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Creates and designs Company/Customer logos, stripe drawings and molding specification drawings
  • Reads publications, consults with sales and engineering to establish design concepts
  • Evaluates design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, materials and methods engineering, application, and client specifications
  • Presents design to design committee and discusses need for modification and change
  • Prepares illustrations
  • Prepares or coordinates preparation of working drawings from sketches and design specifications
  • Designs products for custom applications
  • Be willing to perform other duties that may be outside your normal work functions as directed by management
