About The Position
Diversified Manufacturing has been a premier provider of heat transfer technology, weldments, and fabricated metal components since 1955. Our talented team provides engineering, metal fabrication, machining, and integration services to businesses globally and specializes in heat exchangers and pressure vessels. The Design Engineer performs ASME code calculations specific to heat exchangers and pressure vessels and supports our growing design efforts to develop custom solutions. The position is an on site opportunity in our Lockport, NY, facility.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (AS or BS)
- Experience performing ASME code calculations
- Experience with applicable codes and standards to include ASME, TEMA and API
- Familiarity with oil, gas, and petrochemical industries
- Good project management skills
Responsibilities
- Assists in development of accurate engineering specifications for design and/or procurement of subsystems, components, and engineering services.
- Creates and/or documents design specifications and drawings.
- Analyzes product or equipment specifications to determine designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing methods.
- Prepares or directs preparation of product layout and detailed drawings.
- Conducts project management, e.g. develops project plans, coordinates projects, communicates changes and progress, completes projects on time and within budget, and manages project activities.
