Thermo King has an opportunity for an Design Engineer Intern which provides current college students with challenging assignments, leadership training, valuable exposure to our company's senior leaders and opportunities to network. Our 12-week summer Design Engineer Intern opportunity offers candidates working toward their Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering exposure to a variety of assignments which could include: New Product Development, Product Design, Process improvement and Process development. Tools to be used include Creo Parametric, PTC Windchill, Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Power Automate, and AI. Here at Trane Technologies, we value our people and their development. This position has been designated as On-Site in Bloomington MN.

Requirements

  • Collaborate with others to foster effective teamwork by linking own responsibilities to the team's goals and needs - zeal for new information, knowledge, and experiences
  • Rapidly resolve problems to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Establish courses of action for self and others to ensure work is completed efficiently, such as, prioritizing tasks based on importance
  • Pursuing a BS/BA Mechanical Engineering with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0
  • Junior year status - completed at least one previous internship or work experience
  • U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Classwork, hands-on experience and/or personal passion in any of the areas of CAD Design, Product Development, Product Lifecycle Management, is a plus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills such as: campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership of work projects
