About The Position

HDR’s Design Coordinator has responsibility for work in all phases of the architectural process. Duties include: evaluating, selecting and applying standard architectural techniques, procedures and modifications to architectural construction documents; performing assignments with specific objectives, requiring investigation of a limited set of variables; demonstrating knowledge of procedures for production of design development and construction documents, and knowledge of engineering planning, drafting, and detailing; independently performing architectural assignments with only general instruction from the Project Architect, Designer, or Project Manager regarding the expected results; developing, leading, and managing building information models and processes, including coordination with other disciplines; preparing detailed drawings, layouts, sketches, and graphic representations of architecture designs by hand or using computer-aided design software; contributing to the development of specifications covering architectural matters and assisting with code analysis/reviews; and assisting Project Architects, other Architectural Project Coordinators or Technicians as needed. #LI-DNI

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and 6 months of experience in architecture.
  • Required experience may include professional or internship experience and must include experience in: sustainable design; energy analysis; daylight modeling; Autodesk Revit and related tools and processes; AutoCAD; Rhino; SketchUp; Enscape; Adobe Creative Suite; Newforma; Bluebeam; BIM 360; and Microsoft Office.
  • LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Associate certification.
