POSITION SUMMARY: Lifescape Colorado is seeking a steady and detail-oriented Design Build Divisional Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role supports the Design Build division through accurate accounting execution, billing and collections, contract administration, and operational financial support. This position is critical to maintaining consistency, reliability, and financial discipline within a project-based environment. The Design Build Divisional Accountant works closely with designers, project managers, and leadership to ensure established processes are followed and financial information is timely, accurate, and actionable.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong prioritization, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems; Aspire and/or NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting accounting close processes or accounts receivable.
  • Construction or landscaping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Administration Coordinate the collection, retention, and completion of initial contract documentation. Ensure contract documentation is accurately entered and maintained in Aspire.
  • Design Build Operations & Leadership Support Act as the primary liaison between Finance and the Design Build team. Provide financial and administrative support to designers, project managers, and leadership. Guide team members to complete required financial processes accurately and on time. Design and implement process improvements to support changing departmental needs
  • Client Billing & Receivables Manage the billing and collections process for the Design Build division. Handle client billing inquiries and collection communications with professionalism and tact. Maintain divisional receivables reporting, metrics, and follow-up.
  • Expense & Purchasing Processes Manage the divisional expense process, including reconciliation of Purchase Card receipts. Ensure expenses are coded and recorded accurately in accordance with company policy.
  • Accounting Close & Financial Reporting Assist with monthly accounting close activities as assigned. Support close-related reconciliations and reporting in NetSuite. Additional duties as assigned.
  • Project & KPI Analysis Prepare and distribute job cost, WIP, and project performance reports. Perform job cost and margin analysis upon project completion. Collect and distribute KPI data for the Design Build division.
