About The Position

The Design Associate supports customers through the in‑home flooring consultation process. This role combines design guidance, customer service, accurate measurements, and sales follow‑through. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, detail‑oriented, and excited to help clients transform their homes. Floor Coverings International – West Central Denver provides a high‑touch, in-home experience to help customers choose and install beautiful new flooring. Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Interest in interior design, home improvement, or sales (experience preferred but not required).
  • Ability to learn flooring products, installation basics, and measurement software.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and coachable.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in‑home consultations using our mobile showroom.
  • Provide design advice based on customer preferences, lighting, layout, lifestyle, and budget.
  • Accurately measure flooring areas using provided tools and software (training provided).
  • Communicate project details between customers, installers, and office staff.
  • Maintain outstanding customer experience from consultation to final walkthrough.
  • Follow up with leads, customers, and referral partners.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and represent the brand professionally.
