About The Position

The Dermatology Technician II functions as a member of the healthcare team by providing clinical and technical support to assist providers in providing for patients’ care, comfort, and safety. The individual will complete basic procedures and light treatments as requested by the provider and will assist providers with procedures. The Dermatology Technician II performs in a manner consistent with Marshfield Clinic Health Systems’ mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Requirements

Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program
Documented successful completion of the following Courses or their recognized equivalent
Medical Terminology from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class
Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health Disease from an accredited institution or completed on line through Universal Class
Pharmacology from an accredited institution
One year experience as a Dermatology Technician
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Successful completion of the Marshfield Clinic Health Systems’ dermatology advancement test
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire
