Vanguard Skin Specialists is a dermatology and plastic surgery practice serving communities in southern Colorado. Our mission is to make a positive impact on our patients, our community, and our world. This mission drives everything we do from opening offices in underserved areas to sponsoring humanitarian projects to volunteering locally and abroad. We have been recognized as one the top 3 large workplaces in Colorado Springs by the Gazette for six years in a row and as one of the top 150 workplaces in Colorado by the Denver Post for the last five years. Our provider team is a key part of our success, and we seek an outstanding physician assistant or nurse practitioner who will help create a great work environment. Our Culture & Expectations Vanguard’s mission is to make a positive impact on our patients, our community and our world. Because of our mission, we take care of patients like family: We are accessible by cell phone to our surgical patients. We respond to patient requests same day, and we add patients the same day if requested by a referring provider. We open offices in underserved areas to provide access to care. We accept Medicaid. We remain physician owned and operated, so that our physicians can have autonomy to practice medicine in a way they will be proud. Because of our mission, we are generous in the community and world: We donate 100% of retail skincare profits to charities locally and internationally. We sponsor long-term projects in developing countries. We volunteer locally and send Vanguard teams on humanitarian volunteer trips. Because of our mission, we take care of each other: Our medical providers and team embody our values of humility, integrity and excellence. We invest in our company culture, and we are ranked one of the top places to work in Colorado, as recognized by the Colorado Springs Gazette and the Denver Post. We seek providers who will step up to be leaders within the practice and become “captain of their own ship,” managing his/her own team. All medical providers must be actively involved in the hiring, training, mentoring, and management of their dedicated MAs and support staff.
