About The Position

The Dermatology Patient Care Technician assists nursing staff in providing patient care, to include basic rooming of patients, collecting, processing, testing and transportation of specimens, inventory management and maintaining sanitary and neat conditions.

Requirements

  • High School Education or equivalent degree
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Basic Knowledge of role and scope of Dermatology
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
  • Ability to positively interact with others and provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of patients in the delivery of services to them

Nice To Haves

  • Dermatology experience
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Phlebotomist experience

Responsibilities

  • Clean/Stock Rooms
  • Perform phlebotomy
  • Processing and testing of laboratory specimens
  • Perform basic patient rooming
  • Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care activities as directed to support safe and high-quality provision of care
  • Manage inventory/ordering/repair/replacement of clinic supplies and equipment
  • Utilize respectful and positive communication with patients and staff
  • Accurate documentation in electronic medical record
  • Complete telephone interactions in a professional manner
