Georgia Power is committed to delivering clean, safe, reliable, and affordable energy to customers across the state. As customer adoption of behind-the-meter (BTM) solar and energy storage continues to grow, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant witness testing has become increasingly critical to meeting customer expectations and maintaining system reliability. Witness testing is on-site inspection conducted by the utility to verify that a distributed energy resource (DER) safely and correctly interacts with the electrical grid before granting permission to operate. The BTM Witness Testing Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting Georgia Power’s DER efforts, ensuring safe interconnection of customer-owned solar and solar plus storage systems. This position will oversee the end-to-end coordination of BTM witness testing activities for power delivery, including scheduling, contractor coordination, workflow execution, data analysis, and communications with customers, installers, and internal stakeholders. This role is essential to ensuring Georgia Power can meet rising demand, address new testing complexities introduced by BTM solutions, and maintain high standards for accuracy and compliance.
