The California Post is seeking a Deputy Sports Editor to help lead our sports coverage in one of the greatest sporting cities in the world. Reporting to the Sports Editor, the Deputy Sports Editor will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operation of the sports desk — from managing reporters, to ensuring our content is simply the best. With LA the home to world famous franchises like the Lakers, Dodgers and the Rams, this is the dream job for the leader who loves sport and loves setting the agenda. The successful candidate for this hands-on editing role knows what the fans want to know, has a strong understanding of California sport including college sport and is committed to finding the great stories. They will be critical to helping create a great environment for our reporting team and will be audience focused in all they do to maximize the reach of content. The Deputy Sports Editor will serve as a crucial partner to the Sports Editor, ensuring across digital and print, the California Post sets the sports agenda in Los Angeles and beyond.
