About The Position

In support of the U.S. Navy’s PEO IWS-X initiative, the Deputy Project Manager supports the Senior Project Manager in the coordination, delivery, and oversight of project activities. This role assists with contract deliverables, CDRL development and submission, staff onboarding/offboarding, project scheduling, and general account management. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in supporting complex projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in project coordination or project management.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Experience supporting government or DoD projects preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CDRLs, contract deliverables, and compliance processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Teams, and project management tools.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM, or similar certification.
  • Experience supporting IT, engineering, or technical programs.
  • Familiarity with government contracting environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Project Manager with development, tracking, and submission of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and delivery of contract deliverables to ensure compliance and on‑time submission.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding tasks, including access requests, equipment coordination, and documentation.
  • Maintain project documentation, reports, schedules, and status trackers.
  • Assist with project scheduling, milestone tracking, and meeting coordination.
  • Support account and program management tasks, including resource planning and tracking project activities.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or issues, and communicate updates to the Senior Project Manager.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams, leadership, and customer stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project processes and workflow efficiency.
