The Deputy Program Manager reports to the Project Director and is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the project by both the Contractor and the Design Team. They spend significant time in the field, monitoring progress and proactively identifying potential issues before they affect the project’s budget or schedule. The Deputy Program Manager holds both the Contractor and Design Team accountable, assisting with and/or suggesting resolutions. They are also in charge of Change Management, overseeing and recommending approval for Construction Change Directives and Change Orders. Additional tasks that the Deputy Program Manager will support, or lead include but are not limited to: Evaluating Project Progress and Ensuring Contractor is Staying within Scope, Budget, and Schedule. Lead the Change Management Process including Evaluation of Contractor Change Proposals. Review and Approval of Contractor Payment Applications. Implementation of Risk Identification and Mitigation Plans. Coordination of Project Meetings with Stakeholders. Review and Oversight of Contractor Safety Plan Compliance. Review and Oversight of Contractor Security Plan Compliance. Review and Oversight of Contractor Quality Plan Compliance. Leading Project Team in Corrective Action Plan Implementation (if necessary). Review of Project Controls and Reports to assist with Report Accuracy of Field Conditions.
