Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to generate and shape creative, engaging editorial content
  • Deep knowledge of home, food, and lifestyle trends
  • Exceptional packaging, writing, and editing skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • At least seven years of experience at a consumer food or lifestyle magazine
  • A collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for working cross-functionally with partners and stakeholders
  • Hybrid work schedule: four days per week in our New York City office

Responsibilities

  • Conceive, package, and write or edit stories for all sections of Food Network Magazine and HGTV Magazine
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Food Network talent and their representatives
  • Plan and manage long-term editorial features on Food Network talent
  • Identify, recruit, and manage a network of freelance contributors
  • Stay current on trends in food, home, crafts, and lifestyle to pitch fresh, creative content ideas
  • Collaborate with designers to concept and plan dynamic layouts
  • Craft engaging display copy and compelling headlines
  • Support the creation and packaging of special editorial projects (e.g., brand books, SIPs)
  • Represent both brands in meetings with advertisers and partners
