GRADE 24 LOCATION OF POSITION Annapolis, Maryland POSITION DUTIES Join the Comptroller’s Office in the heart of downtown Annapolis, where cobblestone streets, waterfront views, and a vibrant community sets the stage for unique opportunities. The Comptroller of Maryland is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join the Revenue Administration Division management team as a Program Manager Senior II (Deputy Director). The successful candidate will be a mission and values driven leader who brings expertise in guiding and developing cross-functional teams, business planning, forecasting and has experience driving operational efficiency. Most importantly, they will be a collaborator and partner who will help to support the Revenue Administration Division’s goals and strategic modernization plans. The Program Manager Senior II (Deputy Director) will oversee and lead the Revenue Accounting, Payment Processing and Project Management Office within the division while strengthening the systems and practices needed to support recent and longer-term growth. This position will act as a liaison between internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors, fostering strong relationships and ensuring that all program services and resources are delivered effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities include planning, directing, coordinating, and supporting the operations and will assist the RAD Director in the administration of the division, including strategic planning. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Seven years of progressively responsible management experience in accounting, finance, administrative or operations leadership positions.
  • For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service.
  • If you possess a degree obtained outside of the United States, please submit a detailed, course-by-course evaluation report from one of the U.S. equivalency evaluating members identified at http://www.naces.org/members.html.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years experience in examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting systems, records, and reports by applying generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, direct, and administer all aspects of a major operations unit.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish goals, standards, and controls to meet operational objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate the work of subordinate managers.
