The New York City Department of Probation (DOP) is seeking a visionary and experienced Deputy Commissioner of Information Technology (IT) to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the department’s IT operations and digital transformation initiatives. This senior executive role will be responsible for ensuring that DOP’s IT infrastructure, applications, and services effectively support public safety, operational efficiency, and equitable service delivery across a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees. The Deputy Commissioner of IT will lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the agency’s IT strategies, working closely with executive leadership, agency stakeholders, and citywide IT partners to ensure systems are secure, resilient, and aligned with DOP’s mission and citywide IT standards. This individual will also oversee the implementation of technology solutions that are scalable, cost-effective, and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
