About The Position

ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES Major Responsibilities - Work with Agency stakeholders to understand the business strategy drivers and business problems to be solved by a given solution. - Assess existing and future solutions requirements and support vendor selection. - Assess technology across the enterprise application/technology portfolio. - Provide guidance on enterprise adoption of new standard technologies. - Support delivery of solution architecture for a given initiative that complies with enterprise reference architecture. - Develop enterprise reference architecture documentation. - Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and document all solution architecture design and analysis work. - Create architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development across products, services, projects and systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information). - Lead evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies, based on enterprise business strategies, business capabilities, value streams, business requirements and enterprise standards. - Confirm the conformance of applications, components and services to established standards and best practices. Ensure compliance with IT standards and guidelines throughout the application development lifecycle. - Identify probable system or design flaws and escalate issues to upper management before serious performance impact. - Analyze and make recommendations regarding the possibility of optimizing and enhancing existing functionalities to meet NYC’s Of-fice of Technology and Innovation (OTI) standards. - Assist in the development and review of technical specifications for procurement of IT systems and services, including the evaluation of vendor submissions solicited via bids and requests for information and proposals. - Liaise with IT vendors, as necessary. - Ensure technology solutions adhere to security policies and guidelines promulgated by the Security team. - Execute IT Strategy Plans such as Application Modernization, IT Security Strategy, Cloud Strategy and Data Center Relocation Strategy.

Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and ten years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
