About The Position

As Alviere's Deputy BSA Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Program. This position demands a professional with a profound understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC regulations, and a comprehensive grasp of federal and state compliance laws. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining Alviere's compliance posture and ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years experience and gradual progression in roles related to AML/SANCTIONS/KYC.
  • Extensive knowledge of BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and related federal and state regulatory compliance laws.
  • Proven experience in a similar compliance role, preferably within the fintech or banking sector.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a track record of developing teams and enhancing compliance processes.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to navigate and lead through complex regulatory environments.
  • Effective communication skills, with the proficiency to articulate compliance requirements across various levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Oversight: Evaluate and bolster the efficacy of our BSA/AML/OFAC compliance processes and internal controls. Propose and implement necessary enhancements to meet regulatory standards.
  • Monitoring and Implementation: Continuous monitoring of compliance across Alviere and its banking partners, ensuring policies and procedures are up-to-date and effectively implemented.
  • Policy Development: Spearhead the creation of desktop procedures to document all processes clearly and concisely. Lead the charge in maintaining and updating compliance policies to reflect regulatory changes.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the compliance team, fostering an environment of growth and learning. Drive the adoption of technology and tools for more efficient compliance practices.
  • Risk Management: Oversee model validation efforts to align with our Model Risk Management policy. Regularly update the BSA/AML/OFAC Compliance Risk Assessment to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Regulatory Preparedness: Prepare diligently for regulatory examinations, audits, and reviews. Develop comprehensive remediation plans for any identified issues, ensuring timely completion in accordance with internal policies.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead and contribute to strategic compliance projects and initiatives as required, demonstrating flexibility and forward-thinking in compliance strategy.
