About The Position

As an Assistant BSA Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), OFAC, and fraud prevention efforts across the bank. From monitoring suspicious activity to preparing for audits and regulatory exams, you’ll work closely with internal teams to help protect the bank from fraud, money laundering, and regulatory risk. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining trust, reducing exposure, and strengthening the Bank’s compliance culture. In this role, you’ll play an important part in helping the bank maintain strong BSA and compliance standards.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking, compliance, fraud prevention, audit, or BSA-related functions preferred

Nice To Haves

  • CAMS certification or other industry related certification is a plus (or willingness to pursue certification)

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the administration of BSA/AML, OFAC, CIP, and fraud prevention programs
  • Reviewing daily transaction reports, alerts, and account activity for unusual or suspicious behavior
  • Managing 314B collaboration requests
  • Supporting Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) investigations and documentation
  • Assisting with Currency Transaction Report (CTR) reviews and filings
  • Monitoring OFAC compliance and customer due diligence requirements
  • Preparing and organizing documentation for audits, independent testing, and regulatory exams
  • Maintaining BSA workpapers, reports, and compliance schedules
  • Supporting enhanced due diligence reviews for high-risk customers
  • Assisting with BSA-related reporting for leadership review
  • Partnering with internal departments to ensure compliance standards are met
  • Supporting updates to policies, procedures, and employee training efforts
