About The Position

Primary Duties: The successful applicant will be responsible for representing the Idaho Transportation Department in civil litigation. Practice areas include real property, contract disputes, and administrative law. The practice includes motion and trial practice in district court, as well as administrative hearings. The attorney will also provide day-to-day legal advice to department employees on a variety of legal issues, evaluate draft legislation, contracts and proposed administrative rules, and handle administrative appeals filed by contractors and other parties. Requirements

  • Admission to the Idaho State Bar.
  • Experience in state courts and administrative proceedings and the ability to handle a civil litigation caseload are desirable.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of experience in civil litigation is preferred.
