About The Position

What you will be doing: Defend lawsuits against private, commercial, and public entities, employees, and individuals regarding various claims. Handle cases involving negligence theories, premises liability, employment-related claims, bullying, sexual assaults, insurance coverage, and liability disputes. Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, discovery, legal analysis reports, and appeals. Conduct depositions and witness interviews. Appear in state and federal court or before legal forums including the DCR, EEOC, and other administrative agencies. Participate in conferences, oral arguments, and hearings.

Requirements

  • New Jersey licensed attorney.
  • 2-7 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with colleagues, paralegals, clients, and insurance company representatives.
  • Proficient in technology, legal research, and computer/web-based data sources.
  • Writing sample required.

  • Clerkship following law school is preferred.
