Job Summary: The Systems Engineering and Test Center's Life Cycle Engineering Directorate is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability. We are seeking a Depot Sustainment Manager to join our team located onsite in Tucson, AZ. You will be part of the Systems Engineering and Test Center, supporting products from design through validation, integration, and long-term sustainment.

Requirements

  • Typically Requires a University degree and 8+ years of relevant experience working with government contracts and inventory management. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.
  • Experience with logistics, sustainment, support plans, system fielding, proposals, integration, and/or life cycle management.
  • Active and transferrable final U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.
  • US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearances

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with customers and provide clear, concise reporting.
  • Proven ability to identify, communicate, and manage program risks and opportunities to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Solid understanding of SAP/PRISM transactions and reporting tools to support program operations.
  • Familiarity with financial responsibilities, including program cost and schedule management, as well as adherence to contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive engineering support and product sustainment for both developmental and legacy programs, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
  • Coordinate logistics planning and manage government-furnished material (GFM) inventory to support depot material kit sustainment in alignment with customer and program contract requirements.
  • Review and interpret contract requirements to effectively manage customer material allocations, fulfill RTX obligations, and meet delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and communicate delivery objectives and process statuses to customers, ensuring seamless support for contracts, projects, and programs.
  • Conduct supportability analyses and provide actionable recommendations for long-term product support, such as spares provisioning, updates to maintenance procedures, and parts/material substitutions as required.
  • Develop and refine supportability analysis processes while maintaining and populating the Logistic Support Activity (LSA) database.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to optimize operational efficiency and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage tools such as SAP, PRISM, Power BI, and RTX dashboard applications for in-depth data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making and drive results.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of records and documentation related to inventory, logistics, and program performance, maintaining compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
