About The Position

The Repair group is responsible for the repair of balances and instruments; returning each product to its standard factory operating specifications. The team is made of individuals who work as hands-on technicians, repairing a high volume of electronic and mechanical products. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, competency, behavior and/or ability required. Strong organizational skills. A valid driver's license is required. This position requires that the New Hire Training be completed.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years hands on mechanical experience in relevant field including electro mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, or skilled trade crafts.
  • Ability to use various test related equipment, including but not limited to: PC, multi-meter, logic probe, oscilloscope, scales, calibration equipment, and measurement devices
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pound
  • This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing permitted by law.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • This position requires that the New Hire Training be completed.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Associate's degree (AA) with a technical major or equivalent from a two-year College preferred, or related job experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and assess each product for damage or malfunction in a timely manner and, as applicable, implement the most cost-effective repair or scrap the product.
  • Performing installs nationwide based on business needs, which may require travel by plane.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment as required.
  • Complete accurate records on time.
  • Provide team members and field technicians with technical assistance as needed.
  • Assist with receiving, packing, and shipping duties as necessary.
  • Comply with ISO standards and maintain proper parts inventory levels.
