The Deposit Operations Manager oversees the deposit operations department, ensuring efficient processes, compliance with regulations, and high-quality customer service. This role is crucial for ensuring that the deposit operations run smoothly and efficiently while adhering to all regulatory requirements and maintaining high customer service standards.

Requirements

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is typically required, however, equivalent experience in any of these fields would be sufficient.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in managing financial transactions and compliance requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff, customers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with banking software and technology, specifically our core banking system.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of Staff: Manage a team of deposit operations personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure that all team members are well-trained in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee daily banking operations related to Treasury Management Services, including ACH origination, wire transfers, overdrafts, and mobile deposits. Ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and timely.
  • Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies. Participate in internal audits and regulatory examinations, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Maintain a high level of customer service for both internal and external clients. Address customer inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement new technologies and practices to streamline operations.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as Compliance, Loan Operations, and Digital Banking, to ensure cohesive operations and address any interdepartmental issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation for all deposit operations. Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies as needed.
