About The Position

The LDRP Department Supervisor is responsible for organizing, supervising and directing the delivery of quality patient care and coordinating department-based activities. This role involves supervising nursing personnel in Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum Departments, including interpreting department policies and procedures and participating in problem identification and investigation. The supervisor facilitates change and executes initiatives to achieve top percentile performance in patient safety, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction rankings across both Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum Departments. They lead cooperation with the patient care team to maintain standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting and collaborate with department-specific supervisors in all three perinatal units to ensure optimal patient safety, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction. The LDRP Department Supervisor must possess competencies in both labor and delivery and post-partum patient care and will lead the L&D or Post-Partum Departments on their assigned shift when required. Compliance with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code is mandatory.

Responsibilities
