Requirements

  • Experience in a Medical Staff Office preferred.
  • Strong written /English communication skills, word processing (Windows), dictation, medical terminology Excellent customer relations skills.
  • Ability to work independently,
  • use good judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Previous secretarial experience required.
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Excellent customer service • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls, distribute incoming mail, process physician verifications hospital affiliations, maintain accurate filing system, maintain office supplies - ordering/receiving, and assist medical staff manager/director. Distribute monthly meeting notices and copy packets/materials for meetings
  • Maintain the licensure expirables and monthly reports.
  • Duties as assigned • Photocopy approved privileges for distribution in privilege binders and keep binders accurate
  • Assist Credentials Coordinator prepare credential binders for new applicants
  • Assist in preparing outgoing mailings
  • Assist medical staff coordinators in preparing for meetings, i.e. Photocopying and distributing packets
  • Enter attendance following each CME program•
  • Updates Echo, credentialing software program to insure information is accurate at all times•
  • Manages Governing Board follow-up, letters, updating Echo, privilege sheets
