About The Position

The Department Lead oversees the daily operations of the department, ensuring productivity, quality of work, and team performance. This role provides leadership, coordination, and support to employees while ensuring that departmental goals align with organizational objectives. The Department Lead serves as the primary point of contact for workflow management, problem-solving, and communication within the team.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory, lead, or senior role.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, and support departmental staff to maintain high performance and engagement.
Coordinate daily tasks, delegate work, and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
Conduct team meetings to communicate updates, goals, and policy changes.
Oversee day-to-day departmental functions to ensure efficiency and compliance with procedures.
Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required.
Provide constructive feedback and conduct performance evaluations.
Train new employees and support ongoing professional development of team members.
Encourage a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented workplace environment.
Act as the liaison between the department and upper management.
Coordinate with other departments to support cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Communicate changes, expectations, and policies clearly and effectively.
Ensure departmental activities meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Monitor and enforce safety protocols and risk management procedures.
Resolve operational issues promptly and professionally.
