About The Position

Conagra Brands in Imlay City, Michigan, home of Vlasic, is seeking a Depalletizer Operator to join their team and help meet customer demands. This role involves working onsite at the Imlay City, Michigan location, reporting to the Production Lead and Team Lead. The Depalletizer Operator will be responsible for managing the operation and setup of depalletizing machines for proper production runs, including starting, restarting, and clearing misfeeds. Requirements

  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, Production Lead, QA, and Team Lead.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to complete all paperwork following industry standard.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as; safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the operation and setup of the depalletizing machines for proper production run.
  • Start and restart the machines and clear misfeeds.
  • Operate and maintain the Depal equipment.
  • Remove banding from incoming glass loads and feed into recycler.
  • Coordinate changeovers with the production department.
  • Administer proper lockout tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ensure machine and surrounding area is kept neat and sanitary.
  • Understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Effectively communicate with your co-workers, Production Lead, QA, and Team Lead.
  • Adapt to changing situations.
  • Train employees as needed.
  • Complete all paperwork following industry standard.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as; safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.
  • Assume other responsibilities relevant to your role.
