Cornerstone Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), with locations throughout Southwestern Pa., is seeking a Dentist to join our dental team. Cornerstone Care is seeking a Dentist for our Washington, Pa. location. This new dental area has state of the art equipment to assist you in your care needs for our patients. You can make a difference in this practice, and you will have the support of the entire dental team to aide in your ongoing success.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Dentistry with a Degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine
  • Possession of a license to practice dentistry in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or the ability to secure a license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • General computer proficiency
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

  • Examines, diagnoses, and treats patients utilizing the Dental Department.
  • Ensures that dental care is completely and adequately documented in the dental record.
  • Provides emergency care as needed.
  • Assists in the supervision and provides direction for dental hygienists, and dental assistants; ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws concerning use of dental auxiliaries.
  • Consults with Dental Director to assess that facility design and adequate equipment are in place to provide optimal and efficient patient care.
  • Assists in formulating the annual health care plan for the center and the community.
  • Monitors the health care needs of the patient population and the community and takes action to satisfy said needs. Participates in community health projects, when appropriate.
  • Provides health education to community organizations and/or in the health center, when needed.
  • Maintains active liaison with local health agencies, dental societies, and social service providers.
