About The Position

Founded in 1967, The HealthCare Connection was Ohio’s first Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Our mission is to provide quality and accessible primary healthcare services through community responsive approaches that address financial, geographic, and other barriers to care for residents of northern Hamilton County and surrounding areas. THCC is proudly recognized as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), the highest level of recognition attainable for quality care. We boast two primary care locations and 6 school-based health centers providing quality value-based care for over 20,000 patients. We provide services in Primary Care, Infectious Disease, Substance Use, Integrated Behavioral Health, Dental Services, Women’s Health, and Pharmacy. The Healthcare Connection is seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Practice Manager to oversee daily operations of our dental practice in Cincinnati, OH. This role works closely with the Chief Dental Officer, dentists, and support staff to ensure efficient operations, exceptional patient care, and a positive team environment. Requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability in customer service and continuous quality improvement
  • Knowledge of dental office operations, billing, insurance, managed care, and referral processes
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Experience working with diverse populations across socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Dental Record/Practice Management systems
  • Ability to accept guidance and work collaboratively with leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree preferred
  • 2–3 years of experience as a dental office manager preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support dental office staff using independent judgment to meet performance goals and standards
  • Hire, onboard, and train new team members
  • Monitor and manage expenses to ensure alignment with site budget
  • Address and resolve patient concerns and complaints professionally
  • Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and committees as needed
  • Promote a positive work environment and serve as a role model in customer service and organizational values
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize workflow and patient experience
