About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Dental Practice Manager at Advance Community Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Dental Practice Manager assures the successful operations of ACH dental practice(s) by working to engage, develop, empower, and inspire dental providers and staff. The manager will have accountability for overall performance of the dental program; and evaluating, enhancing, developing, and implementing strategic initiatives to further the operations and fulfillment of the mission of the organization. They will assist the Director of Dental Services with all aspects of the dental program operations to include new program sites, expansion of services and engagement within the community

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years office management and supervisory experience in a professional business setting; dental administration experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 or more years of dental administration practice, FQHC experience, proficiency with EPIC and Dentrix, and change management experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook; PowerPoint, and Performance Management Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operations of assigned practice in accordance with federal/state requirements, grant requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Supervise front office and provider staff; manage schedules, payroll, and performance.
  • Allocate and manage clinic resources to ensure high-quality, cost-effective dental care.
  • Ensure accurate patient registration, check-in, and referral processes.
  • Implement operational strategies and special programs (e.g., Tooth-to-Toe, Traveling Tooth Fairy) to expand services.
  • Monitor compliance with grants, policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze operational effectiveness and implement improvements with the Director of Clinical Services.
  • Participate in strategic planning, management meetings, and special projects.
  • Foster collaboration among providers and staff to maintain productivity and patient satisfaction.
  • Serve as liaison with community partners to promote outreach and strengthen relationships.
  • Effective and efficient utilization of space.
  • Ensuring safety of staff, patients, and visitors.
  • Working with appropriate personnel to ensure proper maintenance of facilities.
  • Assists with emergency preparedness activities in the site.
  • Patients – ensuring optimal patient flow and access to timely care.
  • Dentists, Dental hygienists, and Dental Assistants.
  • Coordinates revenue enhancement efforts in the dental centers.
  • Oversees inventory management through accurate and timely supply ordering.
  • Manages of daily copay collections.
  • Manages of the Daily Batch Process and deposits.
  • Manages and audits Sliding Fee Scale process (applications and recertification’s).
  • Conducts performance appraisals and addresses issues, including disciplinary procedures when necessary.
  • Supervises, coaches, and develops personnel.
  • Maintains general knowledge of applicable labor laws.
