We are seeking a General Manager at The Engel Dental Center in Charlotte, to maximize performance, enhance the culture and thrive in our practice while positioning the location for growth. You will be Integral In transforming this location while partnering with the partner dentists, providers and team. What You’ll Do As our General Manager, you’ll take ownership of invigorating and driving performance in a fast-paced, high-impact practice. Specifically, you’ll: Lead with Purpose: Motivate, mentor, and inspire a large, multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care and exceed operational goals. You’ll play a central leadership role, ensuring team members are trained and guided to success while fostering a collaborative culture that encourages innovation and teamwork. Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, including managing schedules, tracking team attendance, optimizing provider schedule templates, and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize productivity and ensure the practice operates at peak efficiency. You'll be responsible for ensuring best practices are in place, maintaining operational efficiency, and serving as the main point of contact between centralized operations and the practice. Control Costs and Resources: Manage supplies, inventory, and expenses to maximize profitability without compromising quality. Collaborate with Providers: Partner with our dentists and providers to align treatment goals, schedule optimization, and team performance. Drive Process Improvements: Implement system upgrades, refine workflows, and champion best practices to ensure a seamless patient and team experience. You’ll lead by example, encouraging team members to invent new solutions and contribute to the company’s ongoing success. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure the practice adheres to all compliance standards, including OSHA and HIPAA, maintaining operational integrity and safety. Foster Growth: Build a high-performance culture that embraces change, supports development, and ensures a cohesive and collaborative team environment. Who You Are We’re looking for someone who: Has 3+ years of experience managing a multi-doctor dental practice or large healthcare center, ideally with dental or medical expertise. Is skilled at leading diverse teams in both fee-for-service (FFS) and insurance-based environments, both in and out of network, while driving the team to a common purpose. Understands the complexities of multi-disciplinary dentistry, including implant and full-arch cases. Thrives on change management and knows how to drive performance improvements while maintaining compliance with operational standards. Has experience with dental management software (e.g. Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and can facilitate training for new systems and processes. Is capable and desires growth and leadership. You have the expertise to create results while striving for a larger role.
