As the first point of contact for dental patients, you play a critical role in creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive experience from check-in to check-out. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a care team, and is committed to providing exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- One or more years’ customer service experience
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years’ reception experience in a dental or medical office
- Bilingual, English/Spanish, fluent
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, courtesy, and warmth
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, including follow-up visits
- Verify insurance eligibility and guide patients through financial assistance options
- Assist patients with registration, forms, and use of the patient portal
- Collect payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain and update patient information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Ensure reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming
