The Treatment Plan Coordinator is responsible for the daily non-clinical operations of the office including patient satisfaction, revenue, profitability, effective treatment scheduling, phone calls and other business-related functions as delegated by direct supervisor. This role provides superior patient service, demonstrating responsiveness and sensitivity to patient needs, and urgently resolves any patient dissatisfaction in accordance with company policies, government regulations, and dental board standards. Key duties include managing financial aspects like collecting co-payments, verifying insurance, handling billing inquiries, and processing payments. The coordinator also manages patient appointments, prepares new patient charts, handles after-hour calls and emails, and monitors staff schedules. A significant part of the role involves conducting patient consults to ensure understanding of doctor-prescribed treatment plans, auditing charts, performing handoffs, updating treatment plans, and following up with patients to schedule open treatment. The coordinator works with the doctor and patient to overcome barriers to treatment completion, educates patients on insurance benefits and payment options, and ensures staff training on all procedures.
