About The Position

The Organizational Location of the Position is Dental Service, in Dallas, Fort Worth and Bonham, campuses of the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS), Dallas, TX. The primary purpose of the position is for the fabrication of conventional dental prosthesis. This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until September 30,2026. or until position is filled. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be November 24, 2025, with subsequent cut-off dates every two weeks until 09/30/2026 or until the position is filled. Eligible applications received after that date will be referred at regular intervals or as additional vacancies occur on an as-needed basis until positions are filled. Applicants who are referred will be considered for 90 days, after 90 days applicants will have to reapply. A Recruitment/Relocation Incentive may be authorized for a Highly Qualified Individual

Responsibilities

Fabricates complete repair and relines dentures.
Makes custom trays, boxes and pours master casts.
Fabricates base plates and waxes rims.
Mounts casts on an articulators.
Articulates prosthetic teeth using monoplane.
Resolve problems related to retention, balance, tension on natural teeth and tissue and other complex construction cases.
Fabricates, invests, casts and finishes crowns, post and cores.
Solders bridges and contact points.
Pour impressions, saw and pin dies prior to dentists inspection and submission to Central Dental Lab for fabrication.
Maintains inventory and of placing orders for all materials used in the dental laboratory and place replacement orders.
