This position is located at the Patrick SFB Dental Clinic, FL. A Dental Laboratory Technician is responsible for the hands-on creation and repair of custom dental prosthetics in a clinical laboratory setting. This involves fabricating fixed items like crowns and bridges, removable prostheses such as full and partial dentures, and various orthodontic appliances like retainers and night guards. The role requires a high level of technical skill, precision, and a strong understanding of oral anatomy. A significant part of the job involves using advanced Computer-Assisted Design/Computer—Assisted Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology, including 3D scanners, design software, and milling machines, to produce highly accurate restorations from materials like ceramic and metal. In addition to these fabrication duties, the technician is responsible for maintaining equipment, managing lab supplies, ensuring high-quality work through quality control, and training junior technicians.
