Dental Lab 3D PRINTING TECHNICIAN
About The Position
Avaneer Dental Lab is a full-service dental laboratory that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern digital technology to support dental practices with high-quality restorative and prosthetic products. With locations in Warren, MI and Lakeland, FL, Avaneer Dental Lab serves dental practices with a wide range of dental lab solutions. The company is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy 3D Printing Technician to join its dental laboratory team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining 3D printers used to produce dental models, surgical guides, custom trays, and other dental prosthetics. The ideal candidate will have an interest in digital dental workflows and additive manufacturing. Prior experience is preferred but not required, as the company is willing to train the right candidate.
Requirements
- Experience in a dental lab or digital dental environment.
- Familiarity with 3D printing processes (SLA, DLP, or FDM) and dental CAD software.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities
- Prepare digital files for 3D printing using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Exocad, 3Shape).
- Set up, operate, and maintain 3D printers (resin and/or filament-based).
- Perform post-processing tasks, including washing, curing, and quality control of printed items.
- Collaborate with dental technicians and designers to ensure accuracy and fit of printed products.
- Manage print schedules, materials inventory, and maintenance logs.
- Troubleshoot printer issues and perform basic repairs or coordinate with technical support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with lab safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and product quality.
