About The Position
Professional Care Dental Services PC; is a, physician-founded, privately owned/operated, nationally accredited correctional health care practice. Correctional medicine is a challenging and exciting opportunity for today’s dental professional, allowing you to truly utilize all your learned skills and knowledge. It is the perfect hybrid of Outpatient and Urgent/Emergency Dentistry, serving an underserved and extremely diverse patient population. We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Rensselaer County Jail in Troy, NY. This position only requires up to 8 hours of on-site dental care weekly! Flexible schedule Monday - Friday, during normal business hours. To quickly highlight some key points: Hourly compensation is negotiable and commensurate based on experience, rate range is $30-$35 per hour Company paid malpractice liability insurance (including tail) is provided, & Part-Time PTO & Sick Leave package included.
Requirements
- Must have either an associate's or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed dental hygienist in the State of New York.
- Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to develop a trusting relationship with patients/inmates.
- Ability to monitor, observe and document patients.
